چکیده
The occurrence and flow of shale gas are substantially impacted by nanopore structures. fractal dimension provides a new way to explore the pore structures reservoirs. In this study, eight deep samples from Longmaxi Formation Wufeng in Southern Sichuan were selected perform series analysis tests, which consisted small-angle neutron scattering, low-pressure nitrogen adsorption, XRD diffraction, large-scale scanning electron microscopy splicing. elements that influence discussed two levels mineral composition structures, relationship between mass surface was focused on during comparative analysis. results revealed both had characteristics characteristics. ranged 2.499 2.991, whereas 2.814 2.831. negatively correlated with dimension. controlled organic matter pores, their development degree significantly affects increases decrease specific area volume increase average diameter. permeability correlated, but no significant correlation exists dimension, internal reason is dual control effect pores. This study comprehensively analyses characteristics, helps better understanding structure

Small angle neutron scattering
Small Angle Neutron Scattering (SANS) is a technique that enables to probe the 3-D structure of materials on a typical size range lying from ∼ 1 nm up to ∼ a few 100 nm, the obtained information being statistically averaged on a sample whose volume is ∼ 1 cm3. This very rich technique enables to make a full structural characterization of a given object of nanometric dimensions (radius of gyrati...
متن کاملMethane Adsorption in Model Mesoporous Material, SBA-15, Studied by Small-Angle Neutron Scattering
The understanding of methane adsorption is important for many industrial applications, especially for the shale gas production, where it is critical to understand the adsorption/desorption of methane in pores even as small as a few nanometers. Using small-angle neutron scattering (SANS), we have studied the adsorption of deuterated methane (CD4) into one model mesoporous material, SBA-15, with ...
متن کاملPore Size Effect on Methane Adsorption in Mesoporous Silica Materials Studied by Small-Angle Neutron Scattering.
Methane adsorption in model mesoporous silica materials with the size range characteristic of shale is studied by small-angle neutron scattering (SANS). Size effect on the temperature-dependent gas adsorption at methane pressure about 100 kPa is investigated by SANS using MCM-41 and SBA-15 as adsorbents. Above the gas-liquid condensation temperature, the thickness of the adsorption layer is fou...
